Urgent Help Needed for Maclean After Hit by a Car

I came home from work to an open front door and my worst fear realized—both of my dogs were gone.
We had just moved into our house and didn’t yet know that the front door doesn’t latch properly. A windstorm blew it open while I was away. In the panic that followed, we searched everywhere.
Maclean didn’t come home unhurt.
My 7-year-old Scottish Terrier, Maclean, was hit by a car. She survived, but she broke two canine teeth—a painful injury that requires urgent surgical removal to prevent infection, abscesses, and ongoing pain. Her surgery is scheduled for January 9th, and delaying it will only make things worse for her.
Maclean is tough in true Scottie fashion, but she is hurting. She’s struggling to eat comfortably and needs pain management until surgery. Watching her try to be brave has been devastating.
This year has already been incredibly difficult for our family, and between moving into a new home and facing unexpected expenses, the cost of emergency veterinary care and oral surgery is more than I can handle on my own right now.
Funds raised will go directly toward:
• Surgical extraction of her broken canine teeth
• Anesthesia and required imaging
• Pain medication and antibiotics
• Post-operative follow-up care
Maclean is not “just a dog.” She’s my constant companion, my comfort, and part of our family. She has gotten me through one of the hardest years of my life, and now she needs help.
If you are able to donate, I am deeply grateful. If not, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much. Every bit of support helps us get Maclean the care she needs before January 9th so she can heal and be pain-free again.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping us during a frightening and overwhelming moment. ❤️
