*Update: Leila Marie passed around 6 pm on February 18th due to severe infection.
Thank you to the ones who donated to try to keep her alive. i appreciate you all so much.
Two weeks ago, my baby girl Leila suffered from pyometra that ended up requiring emergency surgery. She recovered well! She was snuggly, took her meds, and ate/drank normally.
I came home from a weekend with my partner, and I noticed she was different. She was hiding, refusing food, and overall did not look well. I brought her in where her doctor told me we were in crisis. She was not stable, her temp was extremely low, and she was dehydrated. She’s still at the hospital to figure out what’s going on.
I’m so terrified of losing her. She’s been around for so much, and I couldn’t bear losing my cuddle buddy at night.
Please pray, keep her in your thoughts, whatever, I just want my baby back home and next to me ❤️
She’s slowly coming back from low temp and getting fluids. The doctor is concerned about her white blood cell count. He’s saying it’s due to an infection, not sure if it’s because of the surgery or not. Continue to think of my Leila baby. The doctor then called me in where she became critical.
Doctor is strongly suggesting that she receives better care at a different facility. Urgent pet care is now quoting me 3000-5000 dollars.
If you don’t know me personally, I live at home with my parents, and I work in a school where I assist children with severe disabilities. My pay is not enough for what I do. This is my last resort.
