I've never used a GoFundMe page before until now. My family and I desperately need help to save our home. As recently as last week, we encountered a severe thunderstorm that caused our roof to become partially damaged and leak. I called my homeowner's insurance company, and they quickly sent out people to tarp the roof. The next day, they sent a claims adjuster out who gave us the worst possible news ever. She said that we would need a new roof and that she would have to deny the claim. When I asked why, she stated that the damage to the roof was pre-existing, meaning that the damage was occurring over some time. My wife and I told her that we didn't know we had a problem with the roof. We had no signs of water damage until the day of the storm. I'm 71 years old and my wife is 61. We have enough trouble climbing the stairs; there is no way I can climb a ladder to the roof. We've been in our home going on 17 years. Please help us to save our home.
