URGENT PET HELP NEEDED - My Cat Needs Urgent Medical Care

JL here -- I’m reaching out for ugent help and with a lot of hope in my community. My cat Kali, 6, has recently become pretty sick with an unidentified GI health issue. I've spent the past few days in an out of the emergency vet with her and I and am doing everything I can to figure out what's wrong.

It started Wed evening (5/7) with repeated vomiting of clear liquid, foamy regurgitate, and her breakfast and dinner coming back up. She has now lost her appetite and is being extremely clingy, which is very unlike my indindependent demon. I rushed her to the vet, where she received initial treatments including x-rays, anti-nausea medication, and IV fluids, and a full panel of bloodwork.

The x-rays did not show any obvious gut obstruction and the bloodwork came back looking normal, which was a small relief, but her symptoms have still not improved. It also means we’re still in the dark about what’s making her so ill. The veterinarian now recorecommends more advanced diagnostics including radiographs, ultrasounds, and in-patient hospital monitoring to get a clearer picture of what’s going on internally. The biggest hindrance to her getting the treatment she needs now is cost. I have currently spent $1,500 and 14 ER waiting hours on this little girl with no definitve answer yet -- her urgently needed ultrasound to get a clearer picture of possible missed gut obstruction or gastrointestinal inflammation that might indicate a treatable disease will cost upwards of $700 alone.

These next steps are essential to figuring out the root of Kali’s illness and beginning targeted treatment—but they come at a cost I can’t manage alone. That's why I'm reaching out to the community via GoFundMe, with a goal of raising $5,000 to cover Kali’s ongoing care (including endoscopies and possible surguries) and diagnostics.

Kali has helped me through so much growth as a person and helped keep me stable throughout the pandemic and beyond -- I owe her everything I can give, she is my baby!
