My name is Ranae, @ TheNerdyCatLady on Twitter, and I rescue cats and have my own cats. This weekend has been horrific. When I got home from work last night, I found my rescue cat Biscuit half dead, and she passed about an hour later. Now her brother, Jelly, is exhibiting similar symptoms. I'm not sure exactly what's happened, I'm not sure if it's parvo, fip, or a contagious disease, or if they've ingested foam from the box spring under the bed. I had to remove it to get Biscuit out and noticed that they'd clawed and scratched at the underside of the box spring and there was foam everywhere. I've already lost Biscuit I don't want to lose Jelly too. I'm trying to get enough money to take him to the Emergency Vet in Savannah, they already quoted me at at $190 to be seen, $200 for blood tests, and $300 for x rays, not counting treatment. I will be taking him to the ER vet in Savannah or I'm going to be finding a more local vet Monday morning, but I don't know with how quickly Biscuit died, if he can wait until Monday morning. All vet receipts will be posted as soon as I get them. If anyone could help, I would greatly appreciate it.
