CONTINUED Help Needed for James' Family

Hi friends and family, I am asking for help for one of our drivers who lives in Boonville. He has been diagnosed with dystonia, which is one step below having full blown Parkinson’s disease. He is a single father with three young boys at home. He has been denied disability twice now even though now he has been diagnosed with a disease that is killing his muscles and his nerves. Our system is kind of messed up, he has been diagnosed with a disabling disease and cannot work, cannot drive, is doing physical therapy to try to get back to driving, and they have told him he cannot have any income for one year before he can get disability or any help. How are you supposed to not have any income for a year with three young boys at home and MAKE IT… then try to apply for disability? He is two months behind on rent which is $1200 a month, he has also given him an eviction notice for May 1st that he has to be out if he doesn’t get caught up. Plus, May rent is coming due. Our company and our guys and some of my friends have helped along the way the last six months and kept him afloat…. But this is getting bigger than what we can handle so I am reaching out to our community and friends and family to help James and his boys. They are about to be homeless and they have five more months before he can get disability… plus whatever time it takes for the process to be approved and money to get to James. Once he gets disability, he will get backpay, but he can’t afford a lawyer to fight the disability denial. James is a great person. He just needs a hand up right now. He has always been a great community leader, coaching his boys baseball teams, and a great friend, co-worker and human. He worked at Schlotzhaures for years selling cars so many may know him from there. He would literally give the shirt off of his back to take care of someone else or give his last dollar to someone who is more in need of him. Please help if you can. Please help them keep a roof over their head until he can get his disability going. He’s been doing physical therapy and trying hard to get back to work, but the muscle degeneration is just too much and the pain is excruciating. Up until about 6 months ago he was still working even through the pain because he is the only one there to take care of his boys. He has also applied for housing help and there is a 5 month wait… Now he finally has a diagnosis and the degeneration has worsened, but at least he has answers to all the problems that he has been having. He cannot even stand to go to Walmart because of the dizziness and the pain. His right arm just kind of does what it wants to and doesn’t work properly. Praying that physical therapy will help this. 

Please help keep them from becoming homeless. He does not have family that can help or will and the RK Pilot Cars LLC family (our company he worked for) has extended themselves for six months, but we just can’t handle this large amount.
