My name is Fini and I’m currently in the Greek Peloponnese, staying in a tiny village called Petrochori.
There is a colony of around 10–15 stray cats here. Several are injured or sick, many are pregnant, and none of them have been spayed or neutered.
- A tiny, severely underweight kitten with serious wounds, diarrhea, scratches, and pus coming from her genital area.
- an orange boy with a deep wound on his neck and a partially amputated tail
- a pregnant white cat with a missing paw. The remaining stump is badly infected and may require surgery.
- another pregnant fluffy cat who is extremely thin
…and many more with smaller injuries and untreated medical issues.
We are in a small village without a veterinarian, so I will need to take taxis or rent a car to transport the cats to the nearest vet clinic. Preferably a rescue.
Every donation will go directly towards their care, including veterinary treatment, medication, food, parasite treatment, and, whenever possible, spaying and neutering.
Ideally, I would also like to have them microchipped and vaccinated, giving them a chance to find loving homes here or elsewhere in Europe..
If there are any funds remaining after treatment, they will be used for TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) efforts to help prevent future suffering
