Urgent Help Needed for Gary's Rent and Utilities

Hello, my name is Gary and I'm a 66-year-old senior who is in need of assistance. It's taken me a long time to get up the courage to do this, but here I am.

I was laid off my job and after checking with the unemployment office, I only have one 2-week payment remaining on the current payment calendar; it doesn't restart until March 2025. I receive early retirement from Social Security, but it's not enough to cover my rent and utilities. I have called every rental assistance organization I've been able to locate in Dallas, and they are either no longer accepting applications, don't have the funding, or have closed. So at this point, I don't know what else to do.

I am applying for jobs, but it took me almost 6 months to obtain the last position only to be laid off after 2 months (I was part of a group of 10 people laid off). With my medical conditions, (cancer has returned), I don't want to be homeless, and I will be if I don't raise enough money to cover my utilities and rent. If you can find it in your heart to help me out, I will be eternally grateful. I kept the amount low, bare bones, because I'm not one to list numbers over the top, this is not a scam. I make this promise, I will not use any money until my goal is reached, if its not reached by when its needed (end of the month) or I land a job, then I will return the money.
