URGENT help needed for flooded Thai village

Donation protected
In the early hours of Friday morning the village of Mueang Kuet, in the Mae Taeng district of Thailand, was hit by severe flash flooding. The village has catastrophic damage and many of the villagers (230 houses) have lost everything including their homes and livelihoods. Luckily no human lives were lost but sadly the amount of animals, including 2 elephants, who were swept away will only become clear in the weeks and months ahead. It is truly heartbreaking.
The water has receded now and the devastation is emerging. My daughter, Katie, is living in the village and has asked me to set up this Gofundme to help her new family and friends rebuild their lives.
She is doing the physically hard job of clearing mud and digging through belongings hoping to salvage something out of this tragedy. But they are going to need a lot of money to rebuild their homes so I am respectfully asking you to spare as much as you can for these kind, humble people who will always give you a smile even in the face of tragedy.
Currently they have no clean water and no electricity for at least another week! Many only have the clothes they are wearing so every penny you can spare will help. Thank you.
Please Please help - they have lost everything!
