My parents and I are being unlawfully forced out of our home of 32 years and we need your help.
My mother has been on permanent disability since 2006. My parents had disability insurance on the mortgage, and the new bank (U.S. Bank Trust National Association as Trustee for the Bungalow Series IV Trust) that bought our mortgage have refused to honor it. This has been an ongoing battle for my parents for decades now. They have spent over fifty thousand dollars in legal fees trying to fight them in court. My family tried to purchase our home and the bank refused to sell it to them. My parents’ complaint has been pending in Erie Supreme Court since 2022. In the past three years the bank has sent us numerous threats. We are at the mercy of the court to review our case and there’s nothing we can do to make them finally review it. So this case has been dragged out indefinitely. The bank has taken full advantage of this purgatory that we are in and they have abused their power and taken advantage of a corrupt system, because they know they have the money and resources to get away with their illegal actions. The court could still rule in our favor, but the bank is refusing to wait for a verdict and is forcing us out.
So much of our savings have gone to legal fees that we don’t have enough funds to cover such a drastic move in such a short amount of time. This sudden eviction has lead to us needing help to cover costs such as; storage units, moving supplies, uhauls, temporary housing, and first and last month’s rent once new housing is secured. Any donations will go directly toward covering these costs.
If you are so inclined please donate what you can. If you are unable to donate, please share this fundraiser and spread the word. Both of my parents are disabled and this whole ordeal is taking a great toll on their physical and mental health. Any help would be so greatly appreciated. We are all very proud people and it’s breaking our hearts having to ask for anything. But, desperate times call for desperate measures and we are thankful for any generosity that is bestowed upon us.
