Urgent Help Needed for Family while caring for my dad

Donation protected
So I never was the one to beg or ask for help, but I’m lost right now.

Let me give a back story - on May 30, I got a call from my dad's neighbor saying he didn’t look too good and thought I needed to take him to the ER. I rushed to his house 45 minutes from me and got him to Indiana PA hospital. I never would’ve thought that I would be told that it’s A-fib and complications with his COPD. He had pneumonia in January, and the doctors found a spot on his lung. That same spot was there in March when they did other scans, but this time it was bigger. So doctors are pretty sure it’s cancer, but my dad didn’t want to have biopsies done. He didn’t want to know if it’s cancer because he knows he’s too weak to go through with treatments. He was struggling to keep his oxygen levels up, and his heart rate was all over the place.

Sunday, June 1, the doctor from the hospital came in to talk to me and my dad and thought that hospice was his best option to live the rest of whatever time he had left comfortably. Without a question, the next morning I called the company I work for and immediately knew I wanted my team of hospice nurses to be the ones who looked after whatever time I have left with my dad.

Monday, June 2, I started my FMLA leave from work, which is all unpaid. I had my final paycheck on June 13, but it barely covered 80% of my bills.

Tuesday, June 3, he was discharged from the hospital and was transported to my home in Kittanning, where he resides currently under hospice care, and I am providing 100% of his caregiving needs (bathing, incontinence care, dressing, medication administration, and meal preps/cooking) as he is completely bed-bound now. He now completely relies on me for all his needs. He is dependent on the oxygen concentrator to keep his O2 stats stable.

With my leave of absence from work being unpaid, bills are piling up, and I have reached out to the utilities companies and other departments within the county for assistance with rent and utilities. I do get some food stamps for myself, but my main concern is having a home where my dad is comfortable as well as having the utilities for him to continue his oxygen.

I have no other options but to ask for help.

Anything that is donated will go towards necessities (hygiene and laundry needs) as well as whatever bills I do not get assistance for.

Right now, it’s looking like I will be off for at least 6 months or until he passes, as he needs 24/7 care.

Any little bit is much appreciated.
