My name is Amy
I am the mother of three, doing my best to stay strong through an unexpected medical crisis. I was recently diagnosed with Lynch Syndrome, a hereditary cancer syndrome that requires urgent medical procedures and lifelong monitoring.
On December 16, I am scheduled for both an endoscopy and a colonoscopy. Just days later, on December 19, I must undergo a total hysterectomy due to my diagnosis and current condition. These procedures are not optional, they are necessary.
I will be on bedrest for 4 to 6 weeks, unable to work during that time. As the sole person responsible for my health insurance and medical costs, this sudden interruption in income is overwhelming. I have tried to handle things on my own, but right now, I simply can’t.
In addition to my own medical needs, I am also navigating increased legal expenses related to custody concerns that arose immediately after sharing news of my medical situation. He filed the day after I informed him of what was happening. My children mean the world to me, and I am fighting to ensure stability for them—especially my youngest, who has special needs and requires consistency, care, and support.
I am creating this GoFundMe to help cover:
Medical bills and insurance costs
Recovery expenses while I am unable to work
Legal fees related to securing stability for my children
Basic living expenses during my 4 to 6 week medical leave
I have been reluctant to ask for help, but today, I need it. Any amount, no matter how small, truly makes a difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page also helps more than you know.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and thank you for standing with me during this difficult chapter. Your support gives me strength, hope, and the ability to focus on healing so I can be there for my children.
With gratitude,
Amy
