Our beloved colleague, Colleen, is facing an unimaginable battle, and she urgently needs our support. For the past 12 months, Colleen has been bravely fighting leukemia, a diagnosis that has turned her world, and the world of her child, upside down.

As a dedicated single parent, Colleen has always been a pillar of strength, balancing work and family with unwavering commitment. However, her leukemia treatment has made it impossible to work, leaving her without an income for two agonizing months. The financial strain is immense. Medical bills are piling up at an alarming rate, on top of everyday living expenses like rent, utilities, and food.

To compound the challenges, Colleen is facing a critical surgery to remove a kidney, a necessary step in her complex treatment plan. This upcoming procedure will further extend her time away from work and deepen her financial hardship.

Adding to the despair, Colleen is not eligible for disability insurance, and she has exhausted all of her sick and vacation days. She has poured her energy into her health and her child, leaving no other avenues for financial relief.
