My name is Clifford Caudell. I’m making this account to help me and my accumulated fur babies that I have adopted from family members passing to kittens left out to starve or perish due to cold weather conditions. They have found a home under my roof for the last 9 years in North Platte, Nebraska.

I’ve had a lot of unfortunate events that life has thrown at me, and persevering through has always been my priority. But in 2023, my body shifted, and over years of extensive physical pain, it finally caught up to me. Starting with diabetes, high blood pressure, and mental health issues, I started fighting back and correcting the diabetes and high blood pressure levels. Weight loss gave me hope, but then a domino effect of disc after disc in my lower back developed severe degenerative disc disease. Years of construction work damaged my bones, joints, and ligaments, and my back wasn’t getting any better. Then, developing neuropathy in 2/3 of my left leg, 1/3 of my right leg, and now my left arm up to my forearm, I’ve got the privilege of experiencing falling, stumbling, and breaking toes and fingers, and shoulder injuries due to falling and no longer being so sure-footed anymore.

I’m pouring my heart out and doing something I’ve never done before and asking for help to get my debt down with my landlord. I know it’s cutting it close, but I have until Friday at 11 pm to pay back dues for rent and electricity past due amounts. It’s 4:17 am, and all I’ve been doing is praying since I woke up at 3:45 am because if I don’t get the total paid, my landlord's letter said that I have 72 hours to pay it in full or be evicted 14 days after I receive the letter by mail. So as of 10/10/2025 midnight, if the full amount is not paid, me and my animals will be evicted, and anything left on the property will be collected and taken to the landfill or disposal.

I have my second disability meeting at the end of the month, and apparently, the 7 plus years I’ve always paid my rent until 2023, things became difficult, and my integrity as a person is of no value. Even if I don’t make it, I thank you all just for reading my little testimony of the last 3 of the most difficult years of my life.
