This is horrifying to have to do, but here we are. My name is Chris and I have a 4-year-old boy. It’s just us. My car has broken down and needs a total engine replacement. It’s going to cost $8000. I’m 3 months behind on car payments, and now rent for October is late and I can’t pay it. I’ve been denied food stamps and help with childcare costs (before and after care; he attends Georgia pre-k). I have applied to two different charity organizations and I am waiting to hear back. I don’t know how much detail to put in this, but we are behind on everything. I just took a second job, but I am so far away from being able to pay for my car, which I desperately need to get my son to and from pre-k and myself to work and back. Please help or share if you can. This is the last thing I want to do, asking publicly to friends and strangers alike for help. If there was any family to ask, I would. My sister and I are estranged from our parents for reasons I’m sure you would understand. I don’t know what else to say. Please share if you can.
