Help Save This Sweet Stray Dog in Critical Condition

Location: Pomona, CA

Hi everyone,

I need your help to save the life of a sweet stray dog I found near the railroad tracks in Pomona. He’s in urgent need of medical attention and has been left to suffer with large, bleeding tumors or wounds near his back leg and genitals (photos below — graphic but necessary to show the severity).

I've contacted the local humane society multiple times, and many rescues in the area, but no help has arrived. This dog — who I've started calling Buddy — is kind, gentle, and clearly in pain. He comes up to me for food, but his condition is deteriorating fast. He’s likely suffering from a transmissible cancer (TVT), severe infection, or another serious medical condition.

What He Needs:

Emergency veterinary care (exam, diagnostics)

Surgery or treatment for the infected masses

Pain management and antibiotics

Temporary safe housing or rescue transfer

I’m not a rescue or vet — I’m just someone who couldn’t walk away. But I can’t afford the full cost of care on my own.

Goal: $2,500

All funds will go directly to Buddy's vet bills, transport, and recovery support. I will post receipts, updates, and progress transparently here.

If he is picked up by humane society or taken by a rescue all money will be donated to help animals in need, just like Buddy.
