Hi, my name is Brittany and I’m a single mother of two, and my son is medically complex—he is wheelchair-bound and fully dependent on a trach and G-tube.
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and deep humility to ask for your help. I recently received an eviction notice, and my children and I have just ten days to leave our home. Our lease is not being renewed by the landlord, and after living here for six years, this news has turned our world upside down.
Life has been incredibly difficult recently. Balancing full-time caregiving for my son at home due to not having nursing care ( we have been struggling almost a year trying to find a nurse for him
so I can work) while trying to find consistent income has left us struggling. Despite my best efforts, even going to court trying to fight this landlord, I have lost. I have reached out to churches, but funding is very low in today’s world and housing is closed. I have reached out to 211 as well, I am looking into many resources. I have exhausted so many.
Emotionally and mentally, this is overwhelming—leaving the only stable home we’ve known, trying to find a place suitable for my son’s medical needs, and making sure we don’t lose our sense of safety and stability. I also have a few beloved cats who are part of our family and whom I don’t want to leave behind.
I’m not someone who asks for help easily, but right now I’m humbly reaching out to anyone who may be able to support us in this time of crisis. Every donation—no matter the size—will go directly toward a stable home , utilities, and basic necessities to stabilize our situation and give my children the safety and security they deserve.
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing our story. Just helping us spread the word means the world to me.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, compassion, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
