Urgent Help Needed for Annelise and Lee's Mobile ICU

Donation protected
I’m Shelley Pagliarello and I am reaching out to help my friends, Lee and Annelise Huggins. Since 2017 Annelise Huggins has been disabled due to a rare chronic disease called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and is also prone to epileptic seizures. This debilitating disease results in extremely fragile tissues and loose joints. Joints may dislocate even with minor stresses, preventing normal activities. Even breathing and coughing and swallowing can result in alarming and dangerous outcomes. In addition, Annelise’s body temperature control is defective, causing extreme sensitivity to environmental changes, which can be life-threatening. Travel out of the home, even with assistance, often results in a major epileptic seizure, which in her case is a serious risk. Annelise suffers from peripheral neuropathy as well. This results in complex patterns of extreme pain and weakness. Her diet must be severely restricted due to her digestive intolerances. Lee is devoted to his beloved wife. Since the onset of her illness, Lee has attended to Annelise, and, per her physician, her survival can be attributed to his commitment to her care. In order for Annelise to be subjected to the minimum of disruption whenever transported, he has outfitted a bus as a mobile Intensive Care Unit. This bus serves as their home. Because of his tireless dedication to his wife, Lee’s only source of income is caring for and training dogs, which he has been doing, while maintaining a close proximity to the bus. Prior to Annelise’s illness, Lee and his beloved wife had a successful business working with and training dogs as a team. In addition, they shared their love for music and performed together professionally. Now the location at which Lee was able to board dogs and train them is about to be sold so Lee and Annelise must find a new location and start again. Last week, however their mobile “ home on wheels” broke down. Just repairing the vehicle will cost several thousand dollars. This is an immediate need, as they can’t stay where they are and must be mobile, should Annelise require any medical help. THIS IS A DESPERATE NEED. PLEASE CONTRIBUTE.
