Urgent Help Needed for Amanda's Family
Donation protected
My name is Amanda Smith. I'm 37 years old, and I am a mother of five. I just moved to Florida a little over two years ago, and to be honest, life has really been quite a struggle since I've gotten down here.
My husband got sick.
He has a blood disease that nearly took his life. He was in the hospital for three months.
Right prior to that, he had a stroke,
and one week before that, my grandma died. We were trying to keep it together as best we could, but with him being in the hospital, and me being the only one working, and only being able to work really part-time at that moment, because of being in and out of the hospital to try to see him and to take care of my girls, getting them back and forth to school, I was trying so hard to try to maintain and not let my daughters know everything was falling apart.
We lost our house and we lost our car and honestly were feeling like we were losing ourselves.
I am reaching out because I need HELP. For the last year and a half, my family and I have been homeless. It's hard for me to even say that without breaking into tears.
We have been staying
in motels
and with family.
We finally, FINALLY got approved for a house again. We went and gave him some of the deposit. We all seemed so happy and seeing them happy and smiling was the best feeling. They have been through SO MUCH!! The rest of the deposit I had in the form of a loan, I was approved and waiting for my money, and now right before we are supposed to be giving him the rest of the money they tell me I needed a cosigner. My heart has shattered.
I asked.
Everyone I could think of
to possibly co-sign a loan or maybe even help a little. I'm just terrified of losing this opportunity to give my children a home.
We are supposed to meet with the landlord tomorrow and give him the rest of the money and I don't know what to do!! He is not giving us extra time to have the money and we have to leave where we are staying now. This all really just happened. So I hadn't had any time to deal with anything, and we've already given him some. Please, if there is anyone out there that can help, please,
help me, please.
It's the most perfect house, and it's extremely affordable, and it's rent-to-own. It's literally everything we could have dreamed, and it's about
to all go away.
