Urgent Help Needed for a Son's Healing

Does anyone have any idea what it's like to watch your child get run over by a car that speeds off like his life doesn't matter? What it's like to watch your big, tough son scream in agony for his father? Well, I do, and on Memorial Day 25, that's exactly what happened.
After a fantastic day of me, both my sons, and some friends riding motorcycles through the NH White Mountains, that's exactly what happened. One of my son's friends went off the road on the motorcycle and got severely hurt. When we realized that, we all turned around to help. At that point, my eldest son stopped traffic so no one else would get hurt. Someone in a black Jeep decided he was in a rush and laid on his horn. At that moment, my youngest son went over to talk with him to just explain to him there were people hurt. At that moment, in front of me, this man in the Jeep screamed at my young son, turned his wheels toward him, and floored his accelerator. Without any hesitation, he drove over my son, knocking him to the ground, crushing his leg, and continued to drive away while people screamed at him in horror of what he just did. He didn't stop; he just sped off. At that time, my eldest son chased him to get his information for the police, which he did.
Well, my younger son now needs hours of surgery to rebuild his leg and months, if not a year, of rehabilitation. We as a family have never asked for help or a handout, and anyone that knows my family will tell you I would never ask for help, but as a father, I need to help my child. **Financially, we are strapped and am now asking for help for our family.** Am I perfect? No. Am I financially savvy? No, or I would have saved for a rainy day. Like most middle class, we have no savings, and I'm asking everyone for help, no matter how small, so my son can focus on his recovery and I can focus on helping him. **If you can't afford to give anything, which I understand especially these days, please pray for his recovery and share my request with everyone you know.**
Thank you from all of us.
