Urgent Help Needed for a Single Mother in Our Community

I'm reaching out to our amazing Salt Spring community on behalf of Nikita Taylor, a longtime island resident who could use some support. Nikita, a dedicated single mom who has been living on Salt Spring for 23 years and is known as a former Coop gas station superstar, recently started her own successful cleaning company. Nikita has been a favorite employee for over a decade, brightening everyone’s day with her excellent service and contagious bright smile. Unfortunately, she broke her foot just a few days ago. While she managed to get an air cast, the pain is making it impossible for her to work right now.

As a single mother and small business owner, Nikita doesn’t have the option to claim EI to take the time off she needs to recover. She would really welcome any support from our community to help her through this challenging time.
