Urgent Help Needed To Come Back To Miami

Queridos amigos, una separación amarga y llena de mezquindades me ha dejado como desamparado en Columbia; una ciudad en la que no conozco a nadie, y que no tiene capacidad para procesar a sus desamparados, sino sólo reciclarlos. Necesito regresar a Miami, pero mi pareja de 14 años se niega a ayudarme con eso; así que apelo a la generosidad que puedan mostrar ustedes.

Para más INRI, tengo dos historias de cáncer, y no puedo darme el lujo de estar sin seguro médico; pero eso no es posible en esta ciudad, en que a los negros pobres (por cualquiera que sea el motivo) no se les da trabajo, period. Tampoco puedo dejar que me coja el invierno aquí. En menos de dos semanas deberé dejar el shelter en que estoy viviendo, y aún no he encontrado trabajo, a pesar de las magníficas referencias y el currículum. De ahí la urgencia.

To make matters worse, I have two cancer stories, and I can't afford to be without health insurance; But that is not possible in this city, where poor blacks (for whatever reason) are not given work, period. I can't let the winter catch me here either. In less than two weeks I will have to leave the shelter where I am living, and I have not yet found a job, despite the magnificent references and the resume. Hence the urgency.
