This year, Andra was diagnosed with breast cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy in St. Vincent. Unfortunately, the medication needed for her treatment is scarce on the island, which means she must privately fund her chemotherapy to avoid interruptions in her treatment schedule.

Andra needs a total of seventeen (17) doses of medicine to complete the eight ( 8) cycles of chemotherapy and is currently on her 4th cycle. Once chemotherapy is completed, she will also need radiation therapy, which is not available in St. Vincent. This means she will have to travel to another Caribbean island to continue her care.

Despite the physical and emotional toll, Andra is still working between treatments just to afford her medication, when she should be focusing on rest and recovery.
