Urgent Help Needed After Bell’s Palsy Diagnosis

This past Tuesday 5/27/2025 I was diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy, a condition that has completely changed my day-to-day life although it’s temporary for some My symptoms began suddenly and severely: I lost hearing in my left ear, ability to close my left eye, and current have no grip strength in my left hand, my whole left side of my face is currently paralyzed and this is limiting my ability to safely drive. Because my Bell’s Palsy presents with “stroke-mimic” symptoms, it’s been a frightening and overwhelming experience.

Recovery from Bell’s Palsy can take up to six months, and during that time, I need specialized care and assistance with my bills, I’ve been advised to see a neurologist to monitor my symptoms and ensure there’s no underlying issue, but I currently don’t have insurance I am attempting to receive government aid but this takes time.

To make things even more difficult, both my wife and I are currently unemployed. I had a temporary job assignment that recently ended, and we’ve been actively job hunting ever since without success so far. This diagnosis has only added to our uncertainty and stress.
