This is the Charles family. I met this wonderful family while serving as a missionary for my church. They are kind, welcoming, optimistic, generous, and full of faith. I had the privilege of getting to know Mrs. Saira, Mr. Charles, Shawn, Jessica, and Jennifer during my time with them, and I love them with my whole heart and soul. This is their story.

In 2022, the Charles family fled from their home country of Pakistan because of religious persecution. They chose to flee beyond the borders of their beloved homeland instead of continuing to risk their health, well-being, and peace at the hands of a ruthless anti-Christian mob. They moved in search of a better life but unknowingly found themselves in a nightmarish trap. Due to their refugee status, they have been denied access to basic human rights like healthcare and education, and it has been in this miserable, uncertain, and desperate state that they've lived during the last 4 years.

The Struggle

The father of the family, Mr. Charles, is in urgent need of medical treatment for a heart condition, but the family has no means to afford the necessary care where they’re at. His condition is worsening, and without proper medical attention, his health will continue to deteriorate. The children—two girls and a boy—are also facing a heartbreaking reality. Since the tender ages of 10, 12, and 13, they have been unable to attend school, and their future is uncertain without access to education.

Refugees are often left without legal status, unable to work and provide for themselves. The family is living in constant fear of being unable to meet their basic needs. Despite the religious persecution that inevitably awaits them there, the Charles family's only hope is to return to Pakistan, where they can access healthcare, education, and a future where they can rebuild their lives.

The Goal

We are asking for your help to raise $4,000 to cover the costs of their return journey to Pakistan. This amount will enable them to secure travel, clear any necessary legal procedures, and get home so that the father can receive the medical treatment he desperately needs, and the children can finally attend school and have the future they deserve.
