Urgent help! Rebuild My Family’s Shattered Life by GazaWar
Donation protected
My name is Dalia Mabad, a Palestinian-Canadian mother of four children. Today I ask you, as a fellow human being, to stand by the two most precious people in my life, my father and my mother. Since the beginning of the war on the seventh of October, I have been living in a state of shock and severe anxiety. Following the news everyday, I live in a constant state of fear for their safety and well being. This war has already claimed the lives of multiple people of our extended family,!including my aunt and two cousins.

My father is a 77 years old law school graduate. He suffers from heart disease, high blood pressure, and ulcer. He is my role model, my rock, and my hero. He is a beloved and kind-heated person. He is the one who raised me and taught me everything I know.

My mother is a strong woman who always puts the needs of others before her own. She is the one that looks after my father, my brothers and her grandchildren.
During the war, they were displaced from the north to central Gaza, Khanyounnis, and finally Rafah. They lost everything they own during this war, including our family home and the homes of my two brothers.

Below is a video of my parent's house after it got bombed.
They saw the most difficult days of their lives and suffered from malnutrition, continuous bombing, and hunger. They lived in an unsanitary environment without running water or toilets for months. My mom cooked on firewood, which led to severe allergies, asthma, and ongoing chest pain.

Thankfully, my father and mother were able to leave the war in Gaza to Egypt before the crossing was closed, but in Egypt they are not provided with adequate insurance or the basics of life. My parents left Gaza to escape death, but they lost everything they own, including their house, money and even their clothes.
It is absolutely heart wrenching for me to witness my elderly parents go through this ordeal at their age. They should be enjoying their retirement life in peace and tranquility not through war and destruction.
I hope you will support our family cope with the difficulties that they are going through by donating and sharing this fundraiser.
Donations will be used to cover living expenses in Egypt including rent, food, clothing, basic household items and most importantly to get them the medical attention and treatment they desperately need.
