For the past three years, I have been homeless, struggling every day just to get by. My only companion through all of this has been my turtle, Snoopy, who means the world to me. Recently, a friend gave me a lifeline by letting me stay in a room temporarily, but now I am being asked to leave at the end of this month. If I get kicked out, I will be forced to go back to living in my car, which is old, prone to breaking down, and extremely expensive to keep running with the current gas prices. The thought of returning to that life is terrifying.

I lost my job at FedEx, and now I have no income aside from a small amount left from my last paycheck. Even when I was working, I was living paycheck to paycheck, and now things feel more desperate than ever. The money raised will go directly toward paying my rent at the end of the month. If I can't pay, I could face legal trouble and be homeless again, living in my car. Any extra funds will help me look for a new job, buy food, cover basic supplies, and pay for medical bills. I have a painful skin condition on my legs that requires regular shots, and without insurance, the cost of medicine is overwhelming. It's something I don't like to show or talk about, but it's a big part of why things are so hard right now.
