My boyfriend has been detained and I need to raise money for a lawyer. I am currently trying to find work to help raise money. I have been without work since September.

My partner is under asylum, and I don’t think he should have been detained.

I need to raise $5000 for the lawyer as soon as possible. This is a down payment to secure the lawyer. I need an additional $7500 by the court date. Right now the court date is scheduled for 5/11/26. I also need $3000 for preparation and filing of bond motion.

I don’t have any family and friends here. The closest family my boyfriend or I have here is his brother, who lives on the east coast of the country. I don’t have anyone here for me without my boyfriend, so I come to the GoFundMe and online community to ask for support.
