Hello, community!

My name is Luna (she/they) and I am an LA-based community organizer, educator, healer, and writer.

To make a long story short, the second half of 2025 was full of intense hardship for me. Not only was I struggling with unemployment and a never-ending onslaught of bills, but my mother was diagnosed with cancer, my aunt had been deported as a direct result of Tr mp’s administration, someone close to me attempted suicide, and I had to quickly move out of my apartment because I could no longer make ends meet to pay the rent.

All of this combined dealt a very heavy blow on my mental, physical, and emotional health. The fact that I am still standing here today feels nothing short of a miracle.

As of now, I am staying with my partner and have thankfully gotten a new job. However, on the first day of returning to work, my car got repossessed and I am now facing a giant, unexpected expense to get it back. All before I could even receive my first paycheck. It is a struggle to get to work every day without my car, and I wish to continue to be employed so that I can finally pull myself out of financial ruin and begin to truly live again. If you see this and you have even $5, $10, $15 to spare, I would be incredibly grateful.
