Emergency: I’m Homeless and Fighting for Safe, Stable Housing — I Need Help Now

Hi, my name is Lexie. I’m writing this from a place I never imagined I’d be — outside, without a safe place to sleep, trying to make it through each night while holding onto hope. I’ve always tried to carry myself with strength, to work hard, and to push forward no matter the circumstance. But right now, I’m facing something no one should have to face alone.

I am currently unhoused.

Not couch-surfing.

Not “between places.”

I am on the street. and I am sober!

Every day and night brings new dangers — the cold, the exhaustion, the constant fear of something happening while I’m trying to rest. I’m doing everything I can to stay safe, but the truth is that without support, I don’t know how much longer I can keep going like this.

I’m asking for help because securing stable housing has become urgent. A safe room, a place with a lock on the door, somewhere I can breathe, rest, and rebuild — that is what I’m fighting for. I’m trying to step back onto solid ground, but I cannot do it alone.
