Urgent -- Help Kim & PJ find a home after eviction!

Kim & PJ are Hoosier Action members fighting to make sure all Hoosiers have safe places to live. They have been part of the Hoosier Action Resilience chapter for the past year, and are committed to building power to improve the lives of Hoosiers.

But this week, they got evicted and lost their home. They were only given 7 days to find a place to live, and move all their belongings out. Though Kim works two jobs, and PJ just found one last week after sending in over 200 applications, it wasn’t enough in time to keep them housed.

Kim and PJ experienced unsafe living conditions in their home – including mold, issues with heating and cooling, and other issues and repairs that their former landlord was unresponsive to. They were also not given the necessary notice on their eviction. They saw firsthand the unjust lack of protections for tenants in Indiana, and that’s why they want to keep fighting to change the conditions for people. But first, they need your help to get back on their feet in this difficult time.

We need your help to support Kim & PJ with finding a new place to live, put a deposit down, get necessary car repairs to be able to get to work, and get back on their feet.
