My friend Jubilé Kasay has been selected to attend an international peace-building training led by Kurve Wustrow in Germany, and he needs your help to cover his travel expenses. He will be travelling from May 28th to June 10th.

I’ve known Jubilé since 2021 through a youth development charity I’ve been involved in over the years. He is a passionate changemaker, working to promote peace, healing, and resilience in Goma, eastern Democratic Republic of Congo—a region that continues to face the impacts of a prolonged conflict that has caused the deaths of millions of people.

Jubilé has been awarded a place on this training because of his dedication and leadership. However, he does not have the financial means to cover the cost of flights, other basic travel expenses, and the security of having some money to cover emergency costs during his trip. This is what your financial support will cover. Due to GoFundMe restrictions, he’s unable to set up this fundraiser himself, which is why I’ve created it on his behalf here in the UK.

"I am a youth leader and human rights defender from eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a region deeply affected by decades of conflict. For over 8 years, I have worked as a youth leader and human rights defender, supporting communities affected by violence, trauma, and environmental destruction. Through my organisation, Harmony For The Future, we help young people rebuild their mental health and restore ecosystems damaged by conflict.

This training is a very unique opportunity for me to strengthen my skills and bring back knowledge to support communities affected by war. By supporting me, you are supporting my whole community. You are investing in peace, youth leadership, and community healing in eastern Congo."
