URGENT: Help Howard Men’s Lacrosse Club Become a Nonprofit—We Need You
Our voices have been powerful—our team’s drive, your cheers, and the community’s belief in us—but now we need to take the next bold step: fundraising to secure our future.
Our Story…
We are the current student-athletes, alumni, and supporters behind the Howard University Men’s Lacrosse Club. We’re humbled by the outpouring of encouragement from everyone who’s witnessed our passion for growing lacrosse at Howard, especially for Black student-athletes who often lack this opportunity elsewhere.
Now, with your help, we’re determined to ensure that lacrosse stays a vibrant part of Howard and the D.C. community for years to come.
Our immediate challenge? We must raise the nonprofit filing, registration, and compliance fees by August 31 to establish our club as a nonprofit foundation—unlocking resources, sponsors, and a new era of sustainability.
This is the make-or-break moment for our program. If we can’t act now, we risk missing a once-in-a-generation chance to keep lacrosse accessible, diverse, and impactful at Howard.
(If, for any reason, circumstances prevent us from completing our nonprofit registration, all donors will be promptly refunded—including any transaction fees.)

- Nonprofit registration fees and legal costs are fully covered—making our organization official and paving the way for greater opportunities.

- Every dollar is held securely for this purpose; we will share regular, transparent updates until every goal is achieved.

Building a pipeline that develops Black men into leaders using lacrosse as the vehicle:
Player → On‑campus club leadership → Real nonprofit and business experience during college and post‑grad across any career path.

Historically, support for lacrosse at Howard has faded over time, stalling progress and opportunity. This ends now—this new era of Howard Lacrosse leadership is the solution, not just the next chapter. A Stampede is coming.
Vision:
A self‑sustaining, Black‑led lacrosse ecosystem from campus to career—powered by Howard, built for the culture, and open to all who believe in opportunity through sport.
We have already:
- Organized clinics for local youth who had never picked up a lacrosse stick.
- Donated gear and offered academic/leadership mentorship in our community.
- Represented Howard with pride at tournaments, often overcoming financial and institutional hurdles with sheer heart.
But for all our progress, the future depends on you. Without immediate nonprofit status, our club’s ability to serve Howard and DC youth is at risk.
