Hurricane Melissa has left deep scars across Jamaica, and our beloved hometown of Falmouth in Trelawny is among the hardest hit. Roofs have been torn off, homes are flooded or destroyed, and many families are struggling without food, clean water, or shelter.
This fund was created to support our wider community by providing emergency food and water, helping with roof and home repairs, and assisting families in rebuilding what they’ve lost.
We are asking for help, from near and far. Jamaica needs us now. So many families are without the basics, and every little bit helps. Every mickle makes a muckle, and together, we can make a real difference.
All funds will be handled transparently by Barry and Shirley and will be used directly for community rebuilding and relief efforts in Falmouth, Trelawny. We will provide regular updates, photos, and videos so you can see the impact of your generosity firsthand.
This isn’t just about rebuilding houses; it’s about rebuilding hope, strength, and community. Thank you for standing with us, for sharing, donating, and caring for the people of Trelawny, Jamaica.
My name is Taja-Lee Falconer, and I am organizing this fundraiser together with Barrington and Shirley Falconer, to support our hometown community of Falmouth and Hague, Trelawny, Jamaica, which was devastated by Hurricane Melissa. We are raising funds to assist multiple families whose homes and livelihoods have been severely impacted. The funds will go directly toward roof repairs, rebuilding homes, and purchasing essential supplies such as water, non-perishable food, and materials for cleanup and recovery.
Some of the affected residents we plan to assist include the Campbells, the Gayles, and other members of the Hague community who are in urgent need. Because this is a community-wide effort, the funds will not go to one individual beneficiary but will be managed by our family to help as many people as possible.
We will document all spending through receipts, photos, and updates to maintain full transparency and share progress as repairs and relief efforts continue. This is our hometown, and while we are far away, we are doing everything we can to help our people rebuild.
