My family is being torn apart. I would never normally publicly state my personal life, but I am desperate. 

UPDATE: this has been edited August 2021 for new needs. 

My sister is battling the state for custody of her four children. She is desperate to hire a lawyer and battle the state to get her kids home, but doesn’t have the funds. She hired a lawyer with the initial funds raised (THANK YOU!!) but it is still in progress. These kids have been through hell WHILE IN STATE CARE, so much to the point that one is now in the hospital. We need to raise these funds and get a lawyer to get them home and get them having good experiences and memories again! 
Her oldest, Gunner (now 11), is still in state custody (it’s been EIGHT years!) from a previous turn over while she was trying to get out of an abusive relationship. Before Aspen (now 9) was returned to her, she became pregnant with her third, Stephen (now 5), with her most recent ex; this is who the kids were given to by the state temporarily. Her youngest, Chloe (now 3), is there also. This ex then ABANDONED THE KIDS WITH A STRANGER!!! Because he “couldn’t handle them”. 

A mother, who is already devastated EVERY SINGLE DAY by not having one of her children with her, now has none because of allegations by her ex (who had been unkind to Aspen in the past) against her most recent boyfriend (who is now out of the picture so she can get the kids home!). She has been working since the day she turned 16 to help our widowed mother with bills. When she was 18, she chose to work and help with bills when we moved in with our grandma after our mom passed away in 2007, even though it hindered her being in college. She fought to get out of a bad marriage, maintaining a job the entire time and (solely) supporting her family. She has done EVERYTHING she possibly can to get out of these unending hardships life has thrown at her, including maintaining a career without a college degree to support her family, but she can never seem to get ahead. 

If we don’t raise this money, I don’t know if I will ever see my nieces and nephews again.
