Yonas was diagnosed with diabetes four years ago and has since managed his condition through treatment, diet, prayer, and exercise. However, due to a sudden worsening of his condition, he lost his eyesight and the function of both kidneys. Once a happy and joyful young man, Yonas now faces significant challenges. Currently, he undergoes kidney dialysis twice a week to sustain his life, but since both his kidneys have failed, his doctors have confirmed that if he doesn't undergo an urgent kidney transplant abroad, his life is in grave danger. Even though Yonas has lost his eyesight due to diabetes, his most pressing and critical issue at the moment is to undergo a kidney transplant to save his life.

ደስተኛ፤ ከሰዎች ጋር በቀላሉ መግባባት የሚችልና እጅግ በጣም ሳቂታ ሲሆን ለስፖርት ከፍተኛ ፍቅር አለው፡፡ ዮናስ ለቤተሰቡ የመጨረሻ ልጅ ሲሆን የ“እርቅ ማእድ” መስራች የሆነው የጋዜጠኛ እና የስነልቦና ባለሞያ የሆነው የእንዳልክ አሰፋ ታናሸ ወንድም ነው፡፡

ዮናስ አሰፋ ከ አራት ዓመት በፊት የስኳር ህመም እንዳለበት ካወቀበት ጊዜ ጀምሮ ህክምና እና ፀበል እንዲሁም ስፖርት በመስራት እራሱን እየረዳ የነበረ ቢሆንም በድንገት በሽታው ከቁጥጥር ውጭ በመሆኑ ሁለት አይኑን እና ሁለቱንም ኩላሊቶቹን ከጥቅም ውጭ በመሆናቸው ሁልሙ እና ደስታው የጠፉበት ወጣት ሆኗል፡፡ በዚህ ሰዓት ወጣት ዮናስ፣ ህይወቱን ለማስቀጠል በሳምንት ሁለት ቀን የኩላሊት እጥበት/kidney dialysis እያደረገ ሲሆን፣ ነገር ግን ሁለቱም ኩላሊቶቹ መስራት በማቆማቸው፣ በአፋጣኝ ከሃገር ውጪ በመውጣት የኩላሊት ንቅለ ተከላ/ kidney transplant ማድረግ የማይችል ከሆነ፣ ህይወቱ ከፍተኛ አደጋ ላይ እንደሆነ ሃኪሞቹ አረጋግጠውለታል፡፡ የዚህ ወጣት ሁለቱም ዓይኖቹ በስኳር በሽታ ምክንያት ከጥቅም ውጪ የሆኑበት ቢሆንም፣ ለጊዜው ለህይወቱ አስጊውና አንገብጋቢው ጉዳይ፣ አፋጣኝ የኩላሊት ንቅለ ተከላ በማድረግ ህይወቱን መታደግ ስለሆነ፣ ዮናስ፣ ወደ ውጭ ሃገር ሄዶ ህክምናውን ያደርግ ዘንድ፣ አቅማችሁ በሚፈቅደው የዚህን ወጣት ህይወት በመታደግ እንድትተባበሩን በፋጣሪ ስም እንጠይቃለን፡፡
