Urgent Help for Weber's Medical Crisis

Weber is one of the four sweet baby angel cats at the Cat-Thedral. We found him and his brother in the backyard when they were kittens and have been the house cherubs since.

On Thursday, Aug 21, I rushed Weber to the vet after seeing his steep decline in energy and hearing him howl in pain. The vet emphasized that he’s in critical condition and had I not brought him in then, we would have lost him at home. Weber had urinary tract blockage and kidney issues and was immediately taken to the back to begin emergency treatment.

Weber went into V tach multiple times (irregular heartbeats) and was in a lot of pain resulting in him having to be transferred to an emergency animal hospital.

We applied for Care credit and were able to get the amount of treatment for one day approved. The treatment was $3000 but we had to pay for the treatment at the emergency vet out of pocket which was another $1500.

After a night at the emergency vet, his potassium levels are back to normal but he is experience sever kidney failure which means he will have to spend a couple more nights in emergency, ($4000).

He was briefly in a state where we were sure we had to put him down but he recovered enough to where he could make it out of this with hospitalization. The doctor will not let him go home or be left overnight in that hospital given that there will be no one there to watch him at Arrow Cat and Dog Hospital, so he must be put in emergency care.

We really can’t afford this and don’t know where to get the rest of the money from, but he is way too alive to be put down.

I’m asking for any help you can give to get us and Weber through the weekend so he can eventually come home. Anything helps and is extremely appreciated.
