Urgent Help for Veteran's Cremation Costs

Hi, I'm Marti and I'm raising money to lay my dad to rest. He is a veteran and I assumed the VA was covering the cost for cremation and burial; however, they only cover burial. I was presented a bill today for over $3,000 just for cremation. They gave a discount which brought the total down to $1,800 and they want payment by June 17th. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
