Hello, my name is Dania, and I am fundraising for Nadine, a 21-year-old trans girl currently located in Cairo, Egypt.

Recently, Nadine woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of her family shaving her hair for the 'crime' of being trans. This was the culmination of the abuse she had been enduring. Fearing for her safety, she left her home in Alexandria the next day with no belongings and found temporary housing in Cairo.

However, her situation is still very unstable, as she needs to move out in a couple of days, and she has no money, no phone, no ID, and is in a new city. Her mental health is suffering, and she urgently needs a safe place to stay and start a new life.

Nadine is a medical student and currently can't continue her studies due to the dangers she could face if she returns to Alexandria. She URGENTLY needs stable housing; therefore, I set up this fundraiser to help with rent and immediate needs (food, clothing). This money will be transferred to a trusted person in Cairo who will give Nadine cash until we can provide her a phone and set up a bank account for her.
