My name is Tom, and I am reaching out on behalf of my mother-in-law, who is bravely fighting multiple health conditions. She is a dialysis patient with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), hypertension, and diabetes.

Recently, she was admitted to the hospital due to severe difficulty in breathing and extremely high blood pressure. After undergoing X-ray and ultrasound, doctors discovered that 590cc of fluid had built up in her right lung.

On September 4, a thoracentesis procedure was attempted, but only 10ml of thick blood-like fluid could be extracted. Despite adjustments to her blood pressure medication, her condition did not stabilize. By September 7, she became very weak, and her blood pressure dropped drastically. A follow-up X-ray revealed that her right lung was once again full of fluid. A pigtail catheter was inserted to drain the fluid, but blood was coming out.

Her doctors have determined that she urgently needs a thoracoscopy (pleuroscopy), a minimally invasive procedure that will allow them to examine her lungs directly and identify the source of bleeding. Unfortunately, this procedure can only be done at a larger hospital in Batac, where she now needs to be transferred.

The cost of thoracoscopy and her ongoing treatment is far beyond what our family can afford. We are humbly appealing for financial assistance to help cover her medical expenses so she can receive the urgent treatment she needs.
