Hi. I'm Tom. My roommate & I,who are both senior citizens, try to not bother other people with our struggles. We try to push through the best we can. Unfortunately, this time we are just not able to handle our current struggle on our own.

For the past 10 years, we have been driving a 1995 Plymouth Grand Voyager with many mechanical problems and for the past year, the driver door has been held shut with a luggage strap and duct tape because the hinge broke. In addition, 5 days ago, we found out that our landlord is ending our month-to-month lease. We have been asked to be out by the end of June.

We are both permanently disabled and on a fixed income. We have no means to come up with a first and last month's rent and deposit. We are going to need to replace furniture as well because of the state of disrepair.

I have had a home health aide, but because of the uncertainty, services have been temporarily frozen until we obtain a new place to live. Services I need desperately because my ability to function on my own is extremely diminished and becoming worse by the day.

We have 3 beautiful loving cats that are my emotional support and keep my PTSD and severe anxiety from totally consuming me. I'm in continual emotional pain ever since the landlord informed us of this.

I would never ask for outside help if I felt there was another way forward. Unfortunately, there is not.

Therefore, we humbly ask for your prayers & financial support. All monies donated will go for the costs of obtaining another apartment, moving expenses, some nice gently used second-hand furniture & a better vehicle for safe & dependable transportation.

This request we do not take lightly because we know how hard people work for their money. We would not ask except for the dire need.
