As many of you may know, my family and I recently experienced a traumatic event that has left us shaken, overwhelmed, and feeling unsafe in our own home. What happened to us right in front of our baby and in the community where we once felt secure has been devastating.

We are doing our best to stay strong and trust in God to get us through this, but the emotional toll has been heavy. The fear and anxiety of simply stepping outside, constantly looking over our shoulders, and feeling the need for protection is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Your home should be a place of peace, but that was taken from us.

A few days after the initial incident, while lying in bed, we heard someone at our door, seemingly trying to get inside. That was the breaking point. We knew we couldn’t stay here any longer. After four and a half years of calling this place home, we have no choice but to leave immediately for the safety of our family.

If you know my wife and me personally, you know this is an incredibly difficult situation one we never imagined ourselves in. But right now, we need help. As we navigate this unexpected and urgent move, I’m reaching out to my community for support.
