Help Support Teresa Warren’s Medical Journey

Hello, my name is Jessica Young, and I am reaching out for support for my mother, Teresa Warren, who is currently in the ICU. My mom, only 59 years old, was admitted to the hospital on the night of April 1, 2025. Right now, she is on a ventilator and sedated, and we are working with doctors to figure out what is causing her serious health issues.

My mom is fighting for her life, and she’s facing several challenges:

•Pneumonia

•Chiari Malformation (swelling of the brain causing debilitating migraines)

•Severe hypoglycemia (blood sugar dangerously low at 33)

•Infection in her blood (which we initially feared was meningitis, this has been ruled out)

•Severe dehydration and malnutrition (she is dangerously underweight at just 105 lbs)

•Pain management device on her hip (likely the cause of her to get in the state she is in)

She’s been sedated to help manage her condition and to prevent her from pulling out her oxygen tubes, but we’re working daily with doctors to bring her out of sedation so she can begin to recover. As of now, she is unable to follow instructions, and we are concerned that if there is no improvement soon, she may need to have a tracheotomy placed.

We know that her journey will be long and full of challenges, and unfortunately, my mom is in a difficult financial situation. She worked for Humana for 10 years, but her department was shut down in January, and at the end of May, she will lose her health insurance and her income as she waits for disability approval. She won’t be able to work for a long time, and there will be ongoing medical expenses for her care and treatment.

As her daughter, I have committed to being by her side 24/7, but we need help to cover medical bills, medications, and any necessary surgeries. Anything not needed for her care will be donated to charity, which my mom would want. Our family has never been the type to ask for help, but we need it now more than ever.
