I am reaching out with a heavy heart on behalf of my friend, Siva Vankadaru (male, age 45) — a kind and generous person who has served the Austin community through the Austin Founders Lions Club and the Austin Hindu Temple. He is a devoted father to two young sons, aged 11 and 9.

Siva is currently going through an extremely difficult time in his life. He lost his job before undergoing heart surgery in February, during which a stent was implanted. In addition to his heart condition, Siva also suffers from a pre-existing eye condition called Keratoconus, which affects his vision and requires ongoing care.

Since his surgery, things have only gotten worse — he has now lost his home in an auction and is struggling to meet even basic needs, including buying necessary medication.

Doctors have advised Siva to continue taking medication for more than a year, but all his savings have been used up. He urgently needs financial support to cover medical expenses and basic living costs until he can find a new job and regain stability.

Any help during this time would mean a great deal to him and his family.
