Hello. My name is Sequenya Akins(Queen). On Tuesday December 2nd, my kids and I lost our apt to a fire that declared our apt "condemned." We were put up in a room by Red Cross the first night along with getting us food bc the complex stated that 1)They had no vacancies to put us in. 2)Even if they did, they wouldn't put us in one bc of the situation. 3)They wouldn't be able to put us in a vacancy bc if it was to become available for a new resident, it'd make them homeless as well. My family and I lost everything due to the fire and smoke enhancement. Even tho the things that were only damaged to the smoke, they gave us until 5pm Tuesday evening to get what we could out the apartment, to which they terminated my lease the same day bc they feel as tho it was my fault. My kids and I have been staying in my car since Wednesday, we have nothing. I personally lost my entire bedroom that had my clothing, shoes, socks, undies, meds, everything. My children clothes and shoes are smoked. We desperately need the help for housing and everything. Thank you in advance.
