In early June, I unexpectedly came down with tachyarrhythmia and had a brief hospital stay as a result. I now must go through a procedure called an electrophysiology study. Although it is one of those typical same-day procedures, along with the leftover expenses that insurance doesn't quite cover, it comes at a cost. Not only that, the out-of-pocket amount is due no later than the appointment itself.
