On Monday April 27, Robyn and her sisters received the horrible news that their father, Charles, had passed away. Their worst nightmares essentially came true: their mother who has Alzheimer’s disease was left alone at her house in Florida, and didn’t know what was going on. Robyn got the news from police and her mother is now in the care of Robyn’s sister who lives in Florida.
Unfortunately Robyn and her sisters were left without any information needed to be able to care for her mother, who needs around-the-clock care, and her estate. Since their father’s passing, it has been a scramble for their family to try and get the info they need to be able to care for their father’s remains, fulfill his wishes and do whatever they to can to help their mother, while dealing with this when many businesses and organizations are still closed for Covid-19. Everything has been focused around helping their mother which Robyn and her sisters will continue to do, but due to the chaotic state of things there has really been no time to grieve.
Complicating things even further, Robyn has been unemployed since her work closed in mid-March. Despite dealing with the headache of the unemployment system on many different attempts, she has yet to receive any UI benefits or a stimulus check.
Despite being eligible she doesn’t know if she will ever receive any UI benefits and has lost significant income while bills are still due. If you are in a position to do so, please help Robyn cover her expenses as she has been unable to work and now potentially has the additional expenses of legal fees to help care for her mother. Robyn will probably need to visit Florida soon to help her sister manage her parents’ home and help with her mother. Please help her be able to do this for her family with a little peace of mind that would come with the alleviation of financial stress.. any donations will go to this and Robyn's travel expenses to Florida. If you are not in a place to contribute, please consider sharing this campaign to your networks.
If venmo is easier, her venmo is @cheetahprint
Thanks so much.
