Hi everyone, my name is Rob.
This is the second time I've had to ask for help, although it's the first time I'm managing this fundraiser myself. Before anything else, I want to sincerely thank everyone who supported me last year and into the beginning of this year. Your generosity carried me through one of the most difficult periods of my life, and I will never forget the kindness you showed me.
After a year and a half of navigating delays, medical evaluations, and an initial disability denial that required an urgent appeal, I'm finally reaching a turning point. I'm grateful to now be on the path toward receiving the specialized medical care and support I need to improve my quality of life. While that gives me hope, the long wait has exhausted every financial resource I had.
Today, I'm facing an immediate financial crisis. My bank account is overdrawn by approximately $660, I currently have no income, and I'm struggling to afford basic necessities, including food.
Because of my medical condition, my doctors have restricted me to working no more than 20 hours per week and earning below a specific monthly income limit while my disability claim continues. I had several part-time opportunities lined up, but unfortunately, they fell through. Until my medical evaluations are complete and my disability process moves forward, I'm simply not able to return to full-time work.
The most painful part of this journey has been being separated from my son. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I haven't been able to see him in seven months. More than anything, I want to regain stability so I can once again be the father he deserves and provide the love and support he's always known from me.
I'm creating this GoFundMe to help me get through this critical period while I finalize my disability claim and continue searching for work that fits within my medical limitations. Every dollar raised will go directly toward immediate essentials, including:
* Clearing my overdrawn bank account.
* Purchasing groceries and other basic necessities.
* Paying essential utilities.
* Keeping my vehicle operational so I can attend medical appointments and interviews.
Asking for help has never been easy for me. Throughout my life, I've always tried to be the person others could depend on. Today, I'm humbly asking for that same kindness as I work toward rebuilding my life.
If you're able to donate, regardless of the amount, I would be deeply grateful. If you're unable to give financially, sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, or social media would mean just as much. Every donation, every share, and every message of encouragement brings me one step closer to stability.
Thank you for believing in me, for standing by me through this difficult chapter, and for giving me hope that brighter days are ahead.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Rob
I also want to extend a special note of gratitude to my partner of nearly seven years, Krissy. She has been incredibly supportive throughout this ordeal, but the financial burden has inevitably begun to impact her as well. As a mother to her own 11-year-old son, the weight of our situation has been immense, making this one of the most challenging chapters of our lives. I am deeply thankful for her love and patience while we navigate these difficulties together.
