Urgent Help for Robin for her daughter Mina's Medical Needs

Hi, my name is Erica. I'm starting this fund on behalf of my dear friend Robin and her 13 year old daughter Mina. Robin is a widow, having lost her husband; Mina's father, to cancer. Robin has been raising Mina on her own since he died. They were doing fine until a severe mold exposure during covid, caused lasting damage to Robin's health. Recently, Robin has been strongly on her road to recovery and has finally beginning to be able to look for work again. Then Mina's health took a devastating and confusing dive.

Mina started experiencing vertigo spells at the end of June. They found out her iron was low and started supplementing. A week later she started to experience paresthesia. They went back into the ER and they said her iron was high. A week after that she started having shortness of breath. She felt like she was passing out. They went back to the ER because they were out of state, having gotten a housesitting job in Colorado for the summer. They ran ecg, chest x-ray, cat scan and a bunch of labs. Everything was negative except her iron was low again. Put her back on iron. Within another 10 days, she was having neurological issues. Pressure her in her head, tingling in hands and feet, visual changes and more. Robin took her back in. They found some concerning things on her labs and checked for diabetes. Everything was negative. Speed up to now, Mina has been worsening daily without any answers. They are waiting on various labs and tests. Mina has had extreme episodes of air hunger where she almost passes out. She is having increasing pressure in her head with worsening neurological issues. Mina has been in and out of the ER. There is a doctor who is now thinking it may be possible co-infections and/or encephalitis, but he is not able to diagnose anything without labs, and the treatment can't begin without a diagnosis. They need financial help to be able to do the tests to receive the diagnosis. Robin writes, "This has been really scary and Mina is suffering" So far, the medical bills have already exceeded thousands of dollars and Mina hasn't received a diagnosis or begun treatment.

Robin and Mina are barely hanging on. On top of it all, because Mina often is very scared and feels like she can't breathe, or she's going to pass out, she doesn't feel safe with anyone but Robin. Robin can't work at the moment because she needs to be available for Mina at all times.

Robin has no money, except for a small widow's pension that is not enough to survive on, let alone pay for any extra expenses, and the medical bills are piling up fast. She needs help right now to be able to get Mina the help she needs.

This little family is suffering intensely. Please, help if you can. If you are unable to help financially, please share. Get the word out. This is a very sweet mother and her daughter who are suffering. They need all the help they can possibly get.
