I started this GoFundMe for my cousin Rita Duncan. In July of 2025, she found out she has Adenocarcinoma (Lung) cancer. Right after finding out she has the ugly C, she had to move to Texas to take care of her elderly mom. She moved to Texas in August 2025.

While in Texas, she started having back pain and went to the ER in Dallas at Parkland Hospital. That is where they discovered a mass on her adrenal gland. She was told since she did not reside in Dallas, she could not get treatment at Parkland. She can't afford marketplace insurance. She can't get Medicaid. She has no hope of getting help in Texas. Her only choice is to move back to New Mexico, so she can get treatment. She has an appointment with a cancer doctor on Dec 2, 2025.
